It is open to all men aged 18 and over who have sex with or are attracted to other men (regardless of if they identify as either gay, bi or straight). The course runs for one night a week for 6 weeks usually from 6:30 - 9:30pm. The topics covered include: HIV/AIDS and STIs, self-esteem, safer sex and drug use, social expectations of men and how this can impact on the choices we make, identity formation, relationships, coming out (or staying in), homophobia, pride and the gay scene, the community and the differences between them.
After each session there is a social component (not compulsory), whereby the group members choose a venue to relax and socialise in (usually a café). The Men on Men course is a great way of meeting new people and getting some valuable information in a supportive non-threatening environment. Contact Us to register your interest.
