Consultation outreach at ClubX’s Ram Lounge
Latest News

The Western Australian AIDS Council’s ‘Venues Outreach’ program has been providing ‘one on one’ consultations at various gay / msm (men who have sex with men) venues around Perth since 2004. From August this year, the project has set up a new consultation room at ClubX’s Ram Lounge; situated at 114 Barrack St. Perth.

During these sessions the outreach officer can provide information & referrals as requested by the venues patron, such as:

  • HIV / STI transmission & education
  • HIV and STI testing locations (where either a Medicare card is required or can be done anonymously)
  • Sexually sensitive GPs
  • Social and community groups (broadening their social circle)
  • Places where to meet others for sexual interludes (legally)
  • Sexual identity
  • Sexual practices

Because of the sensitive nature of the consultations, they are undertaken in a private room within the venue.

The Ram Lounge consultation service hours of operation are every Thursday from 11am – 1pm. Please contact Clyde on 9482 0000 or email him at cdubois@waaids.com for further information.
