I see little men everywhere...
Latest News
DDU2smLittle men have been popping up everywhere around the venues. You can see them at Connections, at the Court, in Steamworks and RAM lounge. They bring messages of action and hope and hot, smoking underpants.

They are the newest resource from the Drama Down Under 2 national campaign launched earlier this year. The pop-up cards are a variation on the old postcard resource that has become a little tired and hackneyed. Instead, the little fellows stand up to attention with a plethora of information and referrals written in and around them for anyone who is sexually active.

The WA AIDS Council (WAAC) welcomes people to go in search of the little guys and start collecting the series. No need to limit your collectables to what you can get in your happy meals from McDonald’s. There will be a different one to collect every month, each with its own special message.

This month is all about keeping your partners in the know if you have tested positive for an STI. The Drama Down Under website has a great function where you can send an anonymous eCard or SMS to your sexual partners to let them know they may need to get a sexual health check. Go to the main page and click on the left-hand side menu tab called “Let him know” and follow the prompts.

Next in the series will be about asymptomatic infections... you may have something and not even be aware of it! The only sure way to know is to get a regular sexual health check.

The website itself is a veritable fountain of knowledge on all things STI-related. It has pictures of the bugs scampering across the screen. Put your mouse pointer over one, and it comes up with the bug’s facts and information.
So keep an eye out for the little guys around town, collect the set and keep your sexual health in check. For more details visit the website on www.thedramadownunder.info or contact the WA AIDS Council for more testing information on 9482 0000.
