Oral & Anal Sex

Oral Sex

We are unable to categorically say whether sucking cock is 100% safe or not, but we can say that it is a low risk activity when you don’t take cum in the mouth. We know that if you have sores or cuts on your lips, gums or in your mouth, then taking cum or pre-cum into your mouth may increase your risk of getting HIV or other infections. As brushing and flossing your teeth can cause abrasions and tears in you mouth and gums, it is recommended that you brush and floss your teeth at least 2 hours before unprotected oral sex. You may want to use a condom for those times when you’re worried about the state of your mouth.

ocean.jpg A quick test to see what the state of your mouth is like is the salt water rinse or mouthwash test. It will sting more than usual when you rinse if you have cuts or sores in your mouth. This might be one of those times that you do suck a condom clad cock!

Anal Sex

Douching (flushing out the bowel) makes sex more comfortable, pleasant and safer for you both.  Faeces (shit) is very rough stuff and may contribute to breaking condoms. Making sure the arse is empty is a good move.  It should be done at least two hours before fucking.  Douche water should be warm and contain nothing but water since detergents and soaps will irritate the insides.  Douching is not generally recommended to stimulate a motion but as a cleaning up process after passing a motion.  You can get more information from your doctor or the AIDS Council.

If a condom has come off inside you or broken when it’s full of cum - don’t panic - just gently bear down as if you were going to use your bowels.  The condom or cum will come out.  Do not douche and especially don’t try to kill bugs with bleach or detergents.  You will only force cum or the condom further inside and damage the delicate linings inside you.  Afterwards, try and think about what went wrong so that there is less chance of it happening again. If you are really concerned, then contact the AIDS Council on 9482 0000 for advice or the PEPLine on 1300 767 161.
