Forum Rules

The Project-X Forum provides an opportunity for men who are into other men to discuss topics around sexual attraction, sexuality, coming out and community.

There are a few rules you must follow when you visit the Project –X forum.

Please take the time to read carefully and understand these rules. They are designed to create a safe and respectful space where members can freely exchange and discuss topics and ideas without fear of reprisal or intimidation.

Members who violate these rules may be removed from the forum community, at the Project-X moderator's sole discretion.


Do not use this space if you are easily offended by sexually explicit content, or under the influence of drugs or alcohol

There will be frank, sexually explicit and sometimes confronting discussions about sexuality in this forum.

Similarly, if you are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and are being abusive to other forum users, you may have your membership to the forum permanently suspended.

While people can discuss and get information about the facts and safety issues of drug and alcohol use, the forum DOES NOT encourage, endorse or condone drug or excessive alcohol use and abuse.


This is a safe space. – respect your fellow forum members

If you do have a difference of opinion with other forum users, be respectful in your reply.

REMEMBER: Because you are interacting through a computer terminal it is easy to forget that there are real men who have real feelings connected at the other end.


Do not post your personal information, or the personal information of others .

Posting personal information compromises the personal privacy and safety of you and of others.

Violating this term of use may result in permanent account suspension.

Consider carefully what personal information you give out in online environments.


NO pornographic images are allowed.

As this is an adult-only site, nudity is allowed, but images showing sexually suggestive or explicit acts are not allowed.

The forum moderator will have final approval of imagery.


We do not allow pornographic, discriminatory, hateful or otherwise inappropriate language or usernames.

The forum moderator reserves the right to determine what is considered an inappropriate username and language.


SEXUAL SOLICITATIONS are not allowed.

Profiles and content that invite paid sexual solicitations will be deleted immediately. Profiles are subject to approval; of the Project-X Forum moderator and may be edited or deleted as required.

Violation may result in permanent account suspension.


No hateful posts or bullying allowed.

Do not insult, abuse or harass other forum members.

Typed messages do not show tones or emotions as clearly as the spoken word can, and could be mistaken for a derogatory post.


The forum is NOT designed for dating purposes

The forum is not intended as a social networking site to solicit dates, hook-ups or 'friends with benefits'. We are happy to direct you to more appropriate sites if you are in search of making that kind of connection.

If you feel pressured for sex or 'preyed upon' in this space, say no assertively. If this persists, report the individual to the forum moderator.


The responses to your posts are just suggestions and opinions, not definitive instructions.

Do not feel obliged to follow the suggestions of other forum users. Suggestions and information given must be constructive. Posts that encourage harmful behaviour will be removed from the forum.

We reserve the right to remove any language or images that we deem inappropriate.

Do not request or post links to any sites that display pornographic, violent or hateful materials. Do not post or request pornographic stories and/or images. Any racist, hateful, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate language or images will be deleted.

Do not impersonate Project-X staff members, forum moderators or other members of the community.

Forum moderators can be identified with the prefix 'PX_' in their username.

Even if the intention is good, no members are permitted to speak on behalf Project-X Forum moderators, or use the authorised moderator username prefix in their username. Usernames that do use the authorized prefix will be changed.


Re-publishing your words: Your words are very important.

From time to time, relevant and topical comments presented in the forum may offer great insight and wisdom and could be useful in the wider community context. We may quote your forum posts throughout the Project-X website and its promotions including, e-newsletters, within newspaper columns, other media and publicity. All quotes will remain anonymous.

Follow Forum moderators' instructions.

Forum moderators are there to keep the content of the forum useful and fun for everyone. If a moderator contacts you with instructions, you are required to do follow those instructions. Failure to follow moderator requests can result in permanent suspension of your forum membership.

Please report any inappropriate forum posts.

While we do our best to monitor the forum community, we cannot catch every post immediately. If you see an inappropriate forum post, or posts that broken one or more of the terms of use, please contact the forum moderator.

You can report an incident by sending an email to info@projectx.net or using the contact form on the contact page. Include the name of thread that the message was posted in along with the username of the person posting.
